San Miguel CEO Ramon Ang supports Duterte: “Mark my word. This country will fly under Duterte.”

President Rodrigo Duterte found an unexpected supporter in one of the country’s billionaire, Ramon S. Ang, the CEO of San Miguel Corporation (SMC.)

According to him, he was confident that the country will boom under the Duterte administration so he’s trying to invest heavily in manufacturing and infrastructure.

He also believed that the goal of Duterte to eliminate the illegal drugs in the country will bring a better future for the upcoming generations.

“Mark my word: This country will fly. This country will be a better place for our children and grandchildren because the drug problem will be eliminated under Duterte,” Ang said.

The expected economic surge, attracted the SMC to build more sea ports, airports, railways and acquiring trains.

Ang also said that leading fuel company Petron, will be expanded. Several power plants and cement factories were also planned to be built by the San Miguel Corporation.He also believed that if the President solved the drug problem in the Philippines, he would be the best leader of the Philippines ever had.
