Duterte Pays Tribute To The Casualties And The Injured On The Bus Accident In Mindoro

Accidents happen. In the Philippines, vehicular accidents are rampant because of poor road planning-- not enough lights, no clear signages or not enough road education. Other reasons include driving under the influence of alcohol and such.

Accidents, big or small, make an impact on the society. How? It reflects how the government cares about the nation, by caring about the smaller stuff. There have been many occurrences that have taken away so many lives of our countrymen, but it feels good to know that we are not alone in mourning.

Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte always lets his people know that he is a father to all. The recent bus crash in Occidental Mindoro proves that he is not just the country’s leader, but also a great shoulder to cry on.

President Duterte took time from his busy schedule to visit the victims at the hospital where they spend the time to heal. He also grieved the deaths of those who did not make it. CNN posted photos of the president taking a rotation at the hospital and funeral homes. They were taken by SAP Bong Go and were shared online. Comments of appreciation for the president’s kind gesture poured in and flooded the comments section.

Not all presidents care enough to spend time at these places if not for publicity and we all know that the president is not after good (nor bad) publicity.
