LOOK:Filipino kid writes a powerful open letter to the U.P student protesters: ‘Do something worthy in your community’

A FIlipino kid based in California, U.S.A wrote a powerful message that addressed to the University of the Philippines students who walked out of their classes just to spoke against the government.
Andre Gabriel Custodio Esteban, a young blogger, published his advice to the student rallyists in official Facebook page.
In his open letter, Andre said that instead of asking the government for a ‘change’, the University of the Philippines students should change themselves first.
He said that instead of rallying or organizing walk out events in their campus, U.P activists should do productive things that would help the community and other people.
Andre suggested that activists might consider planting trees or teaching homeless kids around the streets of Manila than wasting their time attacking the government. The kid urged them that they must show the world that they really love the Philippines by doing something  that would contribute to the country. He also reminded them to avoid being a ‘parasite’ that might destroy the nation.
Andre Esteban is living in America for a long, however he said that he remained a proud Filipino at heart and mind.
This is the whole open letter of Andre:
Ako po si Andre ang batang Pinoy na taga Fresno California. Lumaki po ako dito na Americano pero Pilipino po ang puso at isip ko. Mahal ko po ang Pilipinas at ang mga Pilipino. May message po ako sa mga students na nag rarally against the government. Ang pagbabago na gusto mo ay dapat magsimula sa sarili mo, gawin mo ito para sa Pilipinas at sa mundo. Start with simple good deeds like helping clean the streets and participating in going green–plant some trees or maybe teach out of school homeless kids around Manila how to write and read instead of wasting your time rallying and shouting against the government. Show the world that you are a Filipino and love your country by doing something worthy in your community. DON’T be like parasites that destroy. Be a volunteer for change. Help build a better Philippines.

The boy who’s a fan of Rodrigo Duterte has gone viral on October last year after the President personally read his handwritten letter which photographed and posted on Facebook.
Duterte quickly granted Andre’s request to “say hello” to him and to his schoolmates.
“I am sure that you will do [a] great report about our beloved country, the Philippines. Continue being a good son and study well and may God bless you and your family and all of us in this planet earth,”the president said in his message to Andre.
The boy’s mother, Almyra Grace Custodio, thanked Duterte for his message posted on Facebook.
Last week, the some U.P students organized a ‘walk out’ protest to voice out their condemnation against President Rodrigo Duterte which they called a ‘tyrant’ and ‘dictator’
Because of this, President Rodrigo Duterte threatened the student rallyists that he would give their slots to the bright indigenous people of Mindanao.
Thousands of netizens who were annoyed by what the U.P activists is doing also urged the President to pursue his plan.
However, despite of the warnings and threats, the student activists were not intimidated and announced that they would organize more walk out protest against the government.
